My “No Fear” Drawing Class

Last night was the first night of the drawing class my brother and I signed up for.  This should be fun.  Being that I’m self taught, I don’t know many techniques to use to achieve the desired/finished look I’m going for when drawing or painting. 

But last night went well.  We learned mostly about ways to hold the pencil to achieve different styles or textures…from dark to light lines…dark, medium, light and white shading…assymetry in pictures…etc. 

All of this was pretty new, as we had to stand and use an easel to draw.  I’m used to flat drawing on a table, so that in itself was an experience.
