Happy birthday, my dear!  You are officially three decades old.  How does it feel?  Hopefully, not too bad.  =)  I’m so glad I get to spend and celebrate your birthday with you today.  I’m honored.

I love you dearly.  Thank you for allowing me to join you in your special day.  Here’s to a year full of love, laughter, memories, sports and adventures.

All my love, Yours.

Scrumptious Sundays: Sciortino’s Harbor Lights

Last time when I went up to visit Scott, his parents brought home pizza from Sciortino’s Harbor Lights in South Amboy, NJ.  It was THE BEST cheese pizza (or they just call it plain pizza up there) I’ve ever had.

Needless to say, when Scott mentioned we should have pizza on Friday night, there was only one place I wanted to go.  Sciortino’s.  This time, it was even better than I remembered.  I don’t know what it is about the sauce, but it’s to die for.  It has a sweetness to it and just melts in your mouth.  This article explains a lot about it.  So, if you’re ever in New Jersey, make it a point to check out their pizza.  You won’t be disappointed.

Simple Saturdays: Random Drives

I love just going out for random drives.  I used to not see the point in it until Scott made me realize otherwise.  He goes out almost every night.  I’m not that good yet, but I love to make it a point to go at least once a month and start driving without a destination in mind.  I know nowadays it is a little more difficult to just get in your car and just start driving, especially with the cost of gas, but it is exhilirating when you do get to.  In the process of doing so, I usually find out more about where I live then I could have imagined.  Or I end up coming across events going on that I had no clue about.  The photographer in me enjoys it immensely.  It also helps me to just clear my mind or think about things.  It’s something that is therapeutic to me.

I hope you are someone who already does it, and if not, that you give it a try.  It’s the simple things in life…

Fun Fridays: Dr. Horrible

From the creator of ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ comes a hilarious short film starring Neil Patrick Harris.  When you get some extra time today, go watch it for free by going here:  http://www.drhorrible.com/mushortio.html

I admire Joss Whedon and his material immensely.  The writing in this is brilliant, and no wonder, since it’s done by the entire Whedon clan.

Also, if you just watched the video and enjoyed it or enjoy other Whedon projects, you should definitely take the time to watch the Dr. Horrible Panel from Comic-con.  It is very amusing and worth watching just for the “I’m twittering” segment.  =)  http://www.vimeo.com/user560820/videos/sort:date

Leaving on a Jet Plane…

In less than 14 hours, I will be leaving on a jet plane on my way to Newark to see Scott!  =)

I cannot wait!  We’ll spend some time in New Jersey on Friday and head down to Washington D.C. on Saturday.  We plan on hitting a Nationals game while we’re there, as well as the special Labor Day Concert by the National Symphony Orchestra being held on the Capitol lawn.  Then, it’s back to New Jersey before I fly home Tuesday afternoon.

He’s going to have an awesome 30th!  =)

Everyone have a safe and great Labor Day!  All my love…

Thoughtful Thursdays: Make A Wish!

Make a wish.  Place it in your heart.

Anything you want.  EVERYTHING you want.

Do you have it?  Good.  Now BELIEVE it can come true.

You never know where the next miracle is going to come from…

The next smile…

The next wish come true.

But if you believe that it’s right around the corner, and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it…

To the certainty of it…

You just might get the thing you’re wishing for.

The world is full of magic.  You just have to believe in it.

So, make your wish.  Do you have it?  Good.

Now…BELIEVE IN IT…With all your heart!!!

Wacky Wednesdays: The “Did you know?” Edition

If you are like the president of where I work, you like to throw out random/useless trivia to your staff and quiz them.  You give them prizes if they guess right, but the prizes are pretty lame, as it’s really just stuff that you have in your office laying around that you don’t want.

So…here you go.  =)  Random/useless/wacky trivia to throw out to people just because.  (You’ll thank me for it later.)
