Fun Fridays: Just Do It!
Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
– Howard Thurman

I get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and work that I forget to really take the time to do things I want to do or to try new things that I’ve always wanted to.
So, I’ve decided to change that. When I graduated from college, my father told me that before I have a family…if I ever get the opportunity to do things or go places…to not let it pass me by and to just do it…even if I really don’t have the money to. I’m taking baby steps for now.
I signed up for a drawing class for eight weeks. I also signed up to play Bunco with a team of women once a month. After my drawing class, I probably will try out their pottery class. I’m also figuring out how to save $ to sign up to volunteer for a few weeks abroad next year.
So…give it a shot. Think of something you always wanted to do…maybe it’s taking a photography class…or perhaps it’s traveling to Europe…maybe even music lessons…or writing a book. Set a goal to do it by December 31, 2009 and make it happen! =) (You’ll thank yourself later.)
I also ran across THIS blog that inspired me, so I thought I would share it with you.
Life is too short…stop waiting…make it count today!
